Robbie's Seattle DUI Case Result (City of Seattle v. Robbie)
Outcome: Seattle .19 DUI reduced to Negligent Driving - No jail.
Description: The Seattle City Attorneys Office filed DUI charges with an aggravating factor so they could ask to put Robbie in jail for extra time. They alleged his breath alcohol level at the time was .19. They alleged that Robbie hit six parked cars. He was arrested on scene and admitted to drinking within an hour of driving.
Robbie was on his way home after dinner with some friends. He accidentally sideswiped six parked cars. When the police arrived, they began interrogating Robbie, and out of fear, he lied to the officers and said someone hit him first. Robbie was arrested for DUI and gave a breath sample resulting in .19.
We brought several motions based on police misconduct and much of the evidence was suppressed. Robbie walked away with a negligent driving in the first degree with no jail time.
Robbie happily returned to his life and has moved on.
