Ramsey's Seattle DUI Case Result (City of Seattle v. Ramsey)
Outcome: Seattle DUI, Hit and Run, and Possession of Marijuana charges reduced to Reckless Driving and Hit and Run Unattended.
Description: Ramsey was out late on a Saturday night with friends with hopes of romance. After enjoying a long, long evening with his friends but failing to maximize his hopes of romance he was heading home alone. He struck a car on a curve in a heavily populated residential area waking up the entire neighborhood. With several witnesses chasing him down a hill he attempted to flee but was detained by police at gun point.
Upon search the officers discovered marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and lots of evidence of intoxication. Once the police put their guns away they discovered that Ramsey sustained a head injury in the crash. After being rushed to the hospital his blood was taken for the criminal case and for medical treatment. One test showed a .19 reading.
After months and months of difficult litigation the matter was resolved to a reduced charge. Ramsey has moved on and been able to put his life back together.
